Suddenly my passion for bento-ing comes back!

I tried to set aside time so that I can make bento in week end. I also try to wake up earlier or do the preparation the night before so I can bring bento for my lunch. The positive side of bringing bento is I can save my money! Moreover usually the portion of food that I bought always too much for me. So it’s a win-win solution right?
A little update about my job, lately the credit proposal that come to me not too much. Thank God, since I have to make monthly report that really takes my time. pucca_love_02

Okay, back to bento. I made this bento last month as a present to celebrate my anniversary. Definitely not wedding anniversary, just a special relationship anniversary malu
Inside the lower box: rice, fried rebon (which I put in the middle of the rice so that it can’t be seen), egg sheet and nori for decoration. Inside the upper box: boiled broccoli, chicken nugget coin, strawberry and apple.

Cute Bento #45: Blangkon Bento

Finally another update from me! menari
I miss cooking and blogging so much! It’s been a month since I start working and everything still works out fine. Well…sometime I have to work overtime. But it’s my decision to work overtime, because I don’t like leaving a messy desk when I go home. I always try to finish my job before I go home.
Back to bento, this bento was made for my lunch break. It’s a little bit difficult for me to make a cute bento for my lunch break. First, I have to wake up much earlier to prepare all the stuff. Second thing is I don’t know why I only eat a very little portion right now. So if I want to make a charaben then I have to make it in tiny version. I’m not sure I can do it in the morning, hahaha. sengihnampakgigi
This just a very simple bento. The menus are rice, chicken nugget, boiled broccoli and strawberry. Somehow I feel like the character is like using “blangkon” (a traditional Javanese headdress worn by men and made of batik fabric). Well then let’s called it “Blangkon Bento”. konyol

Hisashiburiiiiii….!
Long time no see…!
This week I entered the third week of work ... so far, I still love my job. Hmm ... one thing that did not enjoy from working, less time cook! pucca_love_11 I come home at night and too tired to do anything. In week-end I do not always have free time.
Back to bento, somehow I always fail to make onigiri with fried rice. The shape must be not good pucca_love_16. That’s why I don’t know what to name this bento, is it mouse or bear? hahaha. Anyone has experience the same thing?
Inside the box is fried rice onigiri (whatever shape it is), steamed broccoli, heart shape apple, strawberries and boiled beef tongue. I just boiled the beef tongue with garlic and celery and it’s already taste really good pucca_love_17. Err... but perhaps Americanswon’t like eating beef tongue jelir.

1st day in the office

Today is my first day in the office and it was fun! I like the job, the people, the atmosphere…well I know this is just the first day, maybe I just haven’t seen the worst part. But I really hope this excitement will last long! love

My office hour starts at 8.30am-17.30pm. It takes 30 minutes to go there. I plan to wake up early everyday so that I can make some bento for lunch. Not a very cute bento of course, just a yummy bento with a cute look. Hehehe. I made it today, but I will post it another time.

Today I post my pink pancake rolls. I love pancake since it’s so easy to make. The filling is strawberry-milk vla. I post this picture because whenever I feel happy I think “pink” is the right color to express it

Huah, I’m so tired…I think that’s enough for now. I have to prepare for my bento for tomorrow and then go to sleep. ngantuk

Cute Bento #43: Kuma or Mouse (???) Bento

Hisashiburi da ne! Long time no see…sorry I disappeared for almost 1 month. A few days after I came back from Jogja I had a fever. After I recover I lost the mood for making bento.
During disappeared, I was busy with applying jobs and interviews. I was very lucky because I get this job in the second interview. So starting Monday I will be working in a bank. I hope all is going smooth.
So far I have made two bentos, but I'm not too satisfied with the results. The bentos are very good, but not too cute. This bento was taken using the camera phone, that’s why it’s a little bit blurred.
Inside the bento box: corned beef fried rice, tamagoyaki corned beef, boiled broccoli, strawberries and candied mango.
